United MEC Approves Targeted Proposals to be Presented to United Airlines

Yesterday, the United Master Executive Council met with the Negotiating Committee to review the targeted proposals for TA2. The United MEC unanimously approved these proposals to be presented to United Airlines management next week to begin the next round of bargaining. These proposals were derived directly from your survey responses and address the top priorities of the Membership. More information will be provided once we present the proposal to United management. As we move into the next phase of negotiations, we will focus on targeted issues to make the necessary improvements.

The next session will take place October 29–31 in Chicago, and, as noted in our previous Negotiations Update, our assigned Federal Mediator will not be in attendance due to the government shutdown. After the session concludes, we will release a brief video recap, followed by a more detailed written Negotiations Update the following week.
